Today is the last day of term at sunday school which is also parent-teacher day at school..So, all the teachers have to prepare reports of the kids' learning progress and give it to all the parents. Since my exam finished yesterday, Sarah and I managed to finish it after our exam ended. Only 3 out of 7 parents of my students came today. Felt quite upset coz we really did our best to finish the report despite of feeling so tired after exam finished yesterday but some of them didnt came. But, i enjoyed the meeting tho..
One of my students, Saif suddenly become so shy when he met us this morning. He behave the same way as he did during his enrolment day. Hahaha..I do notice that he will become so shy when he know new people..But, I didnt expect him to be so shy with me because after I started teaching him, he started to talk and participate in class. Then he become superactive, talk a lot and like to make jokes too. He always say he is proud because he can speak French. I dont believe it at first because i thought he was joking. But then I started to believe him after my friend from Mauritius said Mauritius people do speak French. moral of the story: kids dont lie..hahaha..ok..back to the story. I think he is shy because I havent meet him for 3 weeks because I got exam.
But, her mom said to sarah and I that Saif really enjoyed himself when we taught him. When we didnt go to school because we got exam, Saif did complain to her mom. And I am quite surprised when her mom said that Saif told her a lot about us. I feel very appreciated. Then, the other two parents also said Kavindra and Angelina also enjoyed our teaching too.
But, what make me feeling very proud today is when suddenly there is this one guy came to us with his formal attire [with suit, tie & handkerchief in the pocket of his shirt] commend me and sarah that we have done a very good job in teaching his grandson. He told us that he is Saif's grandpa and he read through Saif's report and found that he can see our efforts on how we have teached and monitor progress of Saif from the report. I dont know why I feel so proud. The way he talked and dressed seems like he is one of very influenced people from Mauritius. He speaks very good English. Like Sarah said, Saif's Grandpa looks like Amitabh Bachan but Mauritius version. Haha..But, really, I feel proud. Maybe because I think he made the comment because of he is sincere, not like Australian's comment which I found very hypocrite.
Also, during lunch time, we met Omar's parent. They are so friendly and kind. We had our lunch together in masjid. Her mom is so funny and even invite us to go to her house one day. After finish eating, Omar's dad and mom offered to sent us back to uni. We refuse because if that the case, then it means Omar's mom and grandmother have to stay in the masjid first so that Omar's dad can send us back home. But, they insist. I dont know how to thank them. May Allah repay ur kindness.
After he sent us back home, we went to Bruce to visit Nada and his cute little baby. We first meet nada during the month of ramadhan last year. It has been 8 months since we last met her and her baby. MasyaAllah her baby is so cute..So gerammm..Baker is now 1 years old but he is not as chubby as when we first met him. Her daughter,Lana also have moved from Saudi to here. Lana is cute too. I really enjoy meeting Nada and her kids.
Seriously, I love today. Whats a lovely day today..=)
